Here is the slingshot I threw together today. It's not fancy, but it looks like it'll do the job, i bought some 2oz & some 3/4oz fishing weights. It came with some small light little plastic balls, and I managed to shoot it over top of a tree. I'll report back with a antenna here soon. I thought about building a pneumatic launcher, but this is a safer way to get a antenna up in the trees. -Bryan KG7CUL

Here is a link with instructions and other info about sending a radiogram along with a "printer friendly version", I wonder how long this was in grandpa's shack? http://bclingan.org/mainpage_000004.htm
I believe my cousin W7TAO(KF7LX) did this design in the early '90s, then my grandpa W6TAO put the finishing touches on the bottom.
I was happy today to pickup all this cool heathkit gear! I know I didn't need any of it, but finding good homes for some of this stuff is most important. Not sure I'll let the tube tester go though.
So I found this SB-401, it is missing all the tubes, a few knobs and a few other things. I couldn't pass it up because I'm sure it has more than $15 worth of parts, and I figured N7IBG who has been working on the old heathkits lately might want to rebuild it. It seems to be missing a couple things I didn't notice when I first saw it, check out the pictures below! I hope it's not missing too much and it is able to go on air again... 73... KG7CUL
